What a book! Although it is called science fiction, "The Three-Body Problem" is so much more. It's fantasy, gaming, science AND history. I had only read about the Cultural Revolution. "The Three-Body Problem" gave me insight to the level of brutality that so many experienced. In a time when we are fighting to make our legislators and elected officials understand the importance of science, this book serves as a reminder of the recent past when being an intellectual was a crime against the state, and a nightmare of what might come. The most engrossing parts of the book dealt with all of the breaking points (big and small) that can turn a soul dark, and ultimately evil. "The Three-Body Problem" also gives the hope that even in the least likely circumstances a small incident that can turn a completely empty broken soul or souls to self sacrifice.
