Though not as exciting as The Lace Reader (in my opinion), The Map of True Places drew me in. The story is about Zee Finch, a young psychologist who discovers as much about herself as she does her patients. The book touches on the intricate nature of relationships and the cost of holding on to them in the face of suicide, betrayal, violence and mental illness.
