(Review Not on Blog)

I did not realize this was a short novel (novella) so I listened to this within a day, and what an weird book. And, that is not even in a good way. It wasn't even the subject matter or unlikable characters, but just that this was going no where. At the end I felt like I gained no perspective.

It was a one sit read. I kept waiting for the story to deepen. Underdeveloped characters and plot. Aging middle aged parents, beautiful daughter, damaged excon and viola! Quick end.
I expected better. Maybe this was just practice.

More plot outline than novel, and as a result curiously flat and bland.

Short book. Short paragraphs. Short on substance and interest and depth.

Nature or Nurture?
From the top floor with
rich looking stuff, even
Bobby has a glimmer of
Hope. "$ can buy, but
Still is it Nature or Nurture?

Concise, incisive study of a privileged marriage and rebellious teen daughter on a collision course with a working-class psychopath.
