Such a cute story and beautiful drawing. I loved this book. It is a kids books but it was fun for me to read, short and heart warming.

This story is an ADORABLE story about a stray cat and a pampered little dog who happen upon each other and become great friends. There are a few french words (whose meaning is explained within the story), so its fun way for a child to explore other languages while still having a good time. It's an easy read and is a fantastic option for Mo Willems lovers who have outgrown the his Easy Reader series. I loved it so much that I bought a copy for my niece (who is in the demographic mentioned above).

I consider this story "o.k." and, if written by a lesser-accomplished writer than Mo Williams, acceptable without complaint. BUT--I chose this book because I have greatly enjoyed Mo Williams' many witty children's books that spin out of his creative mind. This is not such a book.

If you have secretly longed for a revival of the Lady and the Tramp--your prayer has been answered.

Mo Williams may have gotten a work-related tax write-off on his trip to Paris, but I rate the resulting story a mediocre offering for his loyal readers.

Mo Willems does it again! Beautiful illustrations of Paris, and the charming friendship between an adventurous cat and shy little dog.

A sweet little book. Reminds me of books I read as child by Esther Averill. Not much really happens, but a little dog learns to explore and a wandering cat gets a home. Beautifully illustrated.

A pleasant story of unlikely friendship between a pampered dog and a homeless cat who discover the challenges and benefits of their respective lives. The story builds slowly, but has a nice feel-good narrative and a gentle humour. Mo Williams' writing is a lot more 'mature' and less zany than his previous picture book series, and Tony DiTerlizzi complements the gentle mood of the text with his realistic illustrations of the characters and the settings in Paris. A surprising change from the "Pigeon" and "Elephant and Piggie" series.

A charming story of a street-wise cat and a hesitant dog finding friendship and adventure on the avenues of Paris. This is an easier chapter book, and does not fall victim to the "easy=boring" trap. The illustrations are an amazingly perfect addition to the story.

The Story of Diva and Flea is the charming tale of two unlikely friends living in Paris. Diva, a small dog with a big floppy bow, keeps close watch on her building courtyard. Flea, a large stray cat, is a flâneur who explores the city and has adventures. Flea begins to visit Diva and tell her tales of his travels and soon she is ready to have some of her own! Inspired by a real cat and dog that author Mo Willems met and illustrated by the talented Tony DiTerlizzi.

Flea and Diva's story of friendship, fears, discoveries and little-but-big triumphs is a terrific early chapter book for independent readers or a perfect read aloud for younger kids.
