I'd never seen this before and I've always wondered what it was about and now that I've finally seen it, I feel like I've "come of age" so to speak. Jane Fonda's Corie annoyed the heck out of me at first but I liked her chemistry with Robert Redford as a newlywed. I didn't expect this movie to be so funny and in a lot of ways it reminded me of "Breakfast At Tiffany's." I'm glad I was finally able to see it. Very cute movie and a lot of kissing and romance, which I love!

GOOD 1963 film - fun to see Redford and Jane Fonda back in the day - but the film didn't really engage me - not sure why.

Barefoot in the Park is a 1967 romantic comedy based on Neil Simon’s play of the same name featuring a pair of newlyweds, Corie (Jane Fonda) and Paul Bratter (Robert Reford) who make a very attractive couple. After their honeymoon, they start their married life in a cheap and crummy apartment in Manhattan. Corie was a wild, free spirited, and spontaneous woman while her husband Paul was a straight-laced man with strong traditional morals. Corie wants her husband to change his personality and become more like her. After Paul and Corrie's first argument, she quickly demands for a divorce. Corie strikes me as a self-absorbed modern woman and interprets marriage differently from her traditional husband. She drives her husband to insanity even to the point he nearly gets himself killed. Most people may think this movie is outdated, but it is more modern than meets the eye because the story sets a stage for the future of relationships. 4 out of 5 stars.

Total entertainment value. Time has not jaded this beautiful comedy one bit. All the actors are impeccable in their roles.

A wonder of a comedy without nudity, cuss words and violence on marital bliss? Believe it.

Neil Simon writes a great stage play and Jane Fonda and Robert Redford turn it into a classic comedy movie. I just couldn't stop laughing. It will remind you of another Neil Simon classic "The Odd Couple". Here Jane Fonda and Robert Redford are a newly wed couple just moving into their first apartment. If you missed "Barefoot in the Park" or haven't seen it in a long time, I think your in for a real winner.

In this film adaptation of a Broadway hit, Jane Fonda is gorgeous, sexy beyond belief and kooky as all get out. Robert Redford is equally adorable as her straight-arrow, put-upon groom. However, stage veteran Mildred Natwick as the mom nearly steals the movie. One of the best romantic comedies of the 1960's!

My divorce! When do I get my divorce!
- How should I know? The marriage license hasn't even come in yet!

I've never seen two people more in love than you and Paul.
-Well, maybe that was true yesterday, but it sure isn't true today.

That's the first time you've asked my advice since you were 10. It's really very simple. All you have to do is give up a little bit of you for him. Don't make everything a game, just late at night in that little room upstairs, take care of him. Make him feel... important. If you can do that, you'll have a happy and wonderful marriage, like 2 out of every 10 couples. You'll be one of the two, baby.

What have I been doing?Just what have I been doing? I've been walking barefoot in the park.
