Micah is one of Anita Blake's men. The story mostly focus's on Anita's complicated relationships, this book was enjoyable even though it didn't have many pages.
After the last novel that topped out at almost 800 pages, this felt like a short story. Good depth into the emotion and psyche of Anita's character. Good introduction into what motivates Micah. Wish there was more plot and less bedroom scenes.
I didn't mind this novel, although its more like a short story. With all the men Anita has, Micah is quite different and the story isn't so bad.
Finally...a little more story than sex. I get it, Anita loves sex, but seriously it is getting old. Why am I still reading this series? I'm hoping Hamilton gets back to writing a decent story I guess. The formula has become: intro minor mystery (or sex first
), recap, sex, more sex, a little more info on the mystery, sex, (maybe a new power), sex, mystery solved. At least this sex scene (one I know!) was only about five chapters.
