Definitley a great book and one of my favorite series.

A very binge-readable book. Twists and surprises, I obsessed over it until I finished it. And Dean Koontz is definitely a first class storyteller; the kind that can handle horror, suspense, drama, and comedy without ever getting cheesy or melodramatic. He keeps it intriguing.

Even though the book is highly derivative of MKS' The 6th Sense it is still very entertaining. Koontz is a very literate writer but still keeps the styling accessible to the average reader. The religious undertones are off-putting at times but you almost expect them from a book that deals with talking to dead people and helping them move on. The Ghost Whisperer TV show steals this theme and goes even further with it; proving that that there is no original idea that can't be mass-produced over and over again. Still, standing on it's own merits, Odd Thomas is worth reading.

Too odd for me.

A creepy, sometime scary, action packed story.

The best fiction I have ever read!
After a 10 or so year hiatus from reading fiction, my daughter suggested author Koontz, particularly his Odd Thomas series. Brilliant, humorous, great mix of down to earth and "paranormal" considerations.
There aren't enough stars here, because to have this level, quality of escapist literature= priceless.

Fell in love with the character Odd Thomas almost immediately. Can't wait to read the rest in the series.

Mr. Koontz is once again the master of human depravity amidst supernatural situations. Whether the one draws the other or vice versa isn’t a question easily answered and the novel doesn’t provide the reader with any real conclusions. What do come through are the trials of a mere human struggling with a superhuman power and the obstacles thrown in his way by the mortal and immortal world alike. Odd Thomas is an incredible creation, both queer and ordinary, desperately determined to grip his sanity and mildly fearful that he really is nuts. This is a book of genuine creepiness and terror and not to be missed by true horror fans.

Odd Thomas is a lovable, unusual hero whose adventure is well paced, gripping, and suspenseful. Good luck putting this book down!
