this is the most ridiculous and emotionally manipulative story we have ever seen. lets hope that Acorn TV does not grow any more Oaks to perpetuate this kind of tripe.

The only thing I liked was the scenery and possibly the concept. Was it a supposed to be a models portfolio? Loose, long, several episodes would not play, so I had to fast forward . By #6 i packed it in and you are welcome to it.

I made it through all the episodes (barely). My husband did not. He threw in the towel after Episode 2.
Interesting enough plot, but the amount of time wasted on redundant sobbing. driving and staring scenes becomes intolerable, especially toward the end. (Calvoer's comments are pretty accurate.)
Also be prepared to overlook the usual stupidity and inconsistency of the characters. (i.e, you drop your baby off at his grandparents' when you go to the office, but decide to take him with you for a confrontation with murderous drug lords??)
This could have been a good series, but unfortunately, it quickly becomes tedious. By the last few episodes I didn't really care.

don't judge all welsh tv by this. wales actually makes much better stuff. this could have been made in hollywood.

Another excellent series by Acorn Media. Sadly, there was just enough story for 7 episodes, but they chose to make 8 episodes. Rather than give us missing information with the extra time, they treated us to long, tedious shots of Faith crying, laying on the floor, or remembering her husband. The redundancies peaked when the producer had a lawyer read the "suicide note" and ten minutes later we heard the husband read the letter in a voice-over while Faith cried (yet again). The acting was good, the cinematography was very good, the story itself was very good if you like cozy mysteries. The story is depressing--her husband vanishes and leaves Faith broke with three young children, her horrid in-laws, and a business he ran into the ground while she was on maternity leave. So, not much in the way of laughs or action.
Highly recommend for long chilly winter weekend binge-watch.

This is a depressingly heavy, dark, gloomy series! So sad, it will make you weep throughout!
Interesting character study of some people involved.. Good actors! ...Otherwise, not worth watching.. Too many criminals and questionable police! As soon, as she extricates herself from one severe crisis, there is another crisis around the corner! Just too much for one family to experience.. Draws out the series, I guess! Yet, there are plenty of holes in the story.. and not much hope! Just a severely traumatized family! The kids will need a lifetime of counseling!
A bizarre, abrupt ending! I suppose, they are planning a Second Season.. No, thanks!

The views and landscapes are beautiful. Appearances, prejudice and gossip impact a family when a man disappears on his way to work.
