July 20 2016.....This is not a comment on this book, but on another that I have just finished called 'IDITAROD DREAMS' by Lew Freedman & DeeDee Jonrowe. My book followed DeeDee over an Iditarod in 1993, then chronicled her early life, and teen years, then how she ended up living in Alaska and getting into the Iditarod race. It told of her training and breeding of her dogs, and many of the preparations needed for the race. It then followed her through the following race the following year. It is a fairly short and easy book to read and I thought would be perfect for a young teenage girl to read, as this woman is inspirational. I will see if the library (Crowsnest Pass) will take it as a donation, but if not, (it is an older book, 1995), I will pass it on to a young girl that I know that will probably enjoy it, then I hope it will migrate to one of the little free libraries in the Pass!
