Ferris Bueller’s Day Off is a teen comedy released on June 11th, 1986. It was filmed, written, co-produced and directed by John Hughes. The film became one of the top grossing films of the year, receiving $70.1 million over a $5.8 million-dollar budget. The story revolves around teenager Ferris Bueller (Matthew Broderick) who near the end of the school year, fakes sick to get out of school for the day. Ferris convinces his friend Cameron Frye, and his girlfriend Sloane Peterson to skip school for the day too. However, Ferris does have his fair share of enemies. His sister Jeanie is not convinced he is sick, and neither is the Dean of Students Edward R Rooney.
I would give this movie a 5/5. It never fails to make me laugh and is a great movie from beginning to end. I would recommend this movie to any kid who is currently in school and is finding it mind-numbingly boring. This movie is very relatable to kids as well because one of the best feelings as a kid is when you can skip school for the day and just hangout around town. This movie is also a great reminder that it is ok to have fun once in a while instead of attending boring old school all the time. I would also recommend this movie to anybody who was a teenager in the 80’s, this movie would provide lots of nostalgia if they were to re-watch today.Ferris Bueller’s Day Off is a teen comedy released on June 11th, 1986. Daddy’s Home is a comedy that was released on December 9th, 2015. It stars Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg. Brad Whitaker (Will Ferrell) is a fun-loving radio host trying to get his stepchildren to love him and finally call him dad. This all turns upside down when their real dad Dusty Mayron (Mark Wahlberg) returns home and surprises the kids. The rest of the movie is a humorous journey as both dads try and prove their love for the kids more than the other.
I would give this movie 3/5. The film does a great job providing multiple scenes where Will Ferrell embarrasses himself for comedic effect. But then some scenes are just downright forgetful and unnecessary. However, it is a nice feel good movie that does a great job explaining the hardships that a stepfather goes through - but in a comical way. It is also a great movie to watch if you are having a rotten day and need something to cheer you up. Is it a classic? No. But it is a movie that is great for a Saturday night evening with the family.
I would recommend this movie for kids from 6 and older. The kids in the movie are around that age and kids would be able to relate and laugh with them. I would also recommend this movie to any adult who is currently in the stepfather position and is going through a tough time with their new family, this movie will add some perspective into their new life.Daddy’s Home is a comedy that was released on December 9th, 2015. The book I am reviewing is called “Mister B. Gone” by Clive Barker. I give this book a 1 out of 5.
This horror novel is told in the first-person perspective. The main character, Jakabok Botch, tells the story of his life as a demon. It begins with his childhood, how he was mistreated by his parents. He recalls living in the fourth circle of Hell and how he found ways to pass the time. Jakabok then gets captured by humans from above who intend to skin him and keep his tails. He then goes on to tell the story of how he fell in love, met his best friend, and travelled the world looking for new ways to torture humankind. What sort of adventures will Jakabok Botch and his friends uncover?
This book was really not great in my opinion. First of all, the story begins with the main character begging the reader to burn the book. This wouldn’t be so bad if it only happened in the beginning, but it continues on until the end of the book. Jakabok pleads, threatens, and begs the reader to burn the book and release him from the pages. Secondly, the storyline seems to have no real plot until the end. The storyline moves way too quickly for me to really understand what is happening. For example, Jakabok meets a human girl, and within only a single exchange, he claims that she is his one true love and that he was destined to save her from her father. The girl falls into the abyss after what seems like 5 minutes, and Jakabok claims he is heartbroken and that he will never be able to move on. To me, the entire process seemed to go down in 20 minutes. It doesn’t make sense why he is heartbroken and damaged forever after having a single encounter with a girl he had never met before. There are several more occasions on which things happen way too fast to understand.
Finally, the main character Jakabok is just miserable throughout the whole story and it seems like he is waiting to die. I understand a dark outlook can make a book interesting, but in this case, it just made me not want to finish the book. Overall, I do not recommend this book. For being in the horror genre, it really doesn’t belong there. The book I am reviewing is called “Mister B. Gone” by Clive Barker. I give this book a 1 out of 5.

Based on a true story from 1962, this film stars Tony “Lip” Vallelonga (Viggo Mortensen), a tough, white, Italian-American bouncer living in the Bronx known for his willingness to get a little rough to achieve results. Dr. Don Shirley (Mahershala Ali), a black, highly regarded pianist recruits Tony to come on a tour with him in the Deep South. The real-life tour came only six years after Nat King Cole was attacked on stage by the KKK and swore off performing there again, so while the movie portrays this as a somewhat begrudging recruitment, it was a necessity for Shirley to complete the tour safely.
Throughout the trip, the pair use “The Green Book” - a guide created in reality by Victor Green called, "The Negro Motorist Green Book." It lists hotels, restaurants, and other essential travel stops that were safe for black people. As the two are secured in close quarters, they become good friends. From Dr. Shirley helping Tony write letters home to his wife with more eloquence to Tony's good-natured but boisterous demeanor pulling Dr. Shirley from his shell, the watcher gets to enjoy this wholesome friendship's beginnings from their seat. That is what happened in the movie, anyways.
Though made in collaboration with Tony Vallelonga’s son, Nick, Dr. Shirley’s family has spoken up themselves, claiming it is “full of lies.” Excerpted from a statement from his niece, Carol Shirley Kimble, “It’s once again a depiction of a white man’s version of a Black man’s life.” And, indeed, the film itself reflects that. Tony is racist, he is depicted as such in overt ways in the beginning and the implication is that over the course of the movie he changes, despite continuously saying and suggesting racist things throughout which are only verbally rejected at one junction. The events of the movie do little to suggest this dramatic turnaround would be the outcome for someone who was portrayed as consciously racist as Tony. One online reviewer, Josh Spiegel, said, “The story of how that racist guy who says, “I’m not racist, I have a black friend” met his black friend.” This review seems to strike a chord, as it is the most liked on the list.
Though charming, at times humorous, and brilliantly acted, when watched without taking the content at face value, the plot and lessons seem cheapened, more of a way to present seemingly progressive ideas in a non-confrontational, palatable manner.Based on a true story from 1962, this film stars Tony “Lip” Vallelonga (Viggo Mortensen), a tough, white, Italian-American bouncer living in the Bronx known for his willingness to get a little rough to achieve results. In I Stop Somewhere there is a young girl named Ellie who lives in a remote small and supposedly boring town. Ellie is just starting high school and is feeling very lonely. All she wants to do is fit in and be a normal teenage girl. She has been pursuing school and she has found it boring and she has a vibe about her that is very sad. She doesn’t have any friends and she is lonely only having mainly her dad and her dog to talk and spend time with. Until one day when she thinks that is changing. She is starting to talk to one of the rich popular boys at school. She spent the whole summer with him and they started to be considered boyfriend and girlfriend. Ellie would hang out with Caleb and his other friends. She actually started to feel like she fit in with a group. Although what she didn’t know is that Caleb wasn’t who he seemed to be. When Ellie thought they loved each other Caleb was using her for something different and very cruel.
In my opinion this book was decent. It was very boring at times consisting of just Ellie talking about Caleb and her life. I would recommend this book to people who enjoy stories with deep and meaningful meanings. Although, the story deals with some very mature topics such as rape and assault. At times it can be a little bit harsh and may disturb the reader. In I Stop Somewhere there is a young girl named Ellie who lives in a remote small and supposedly boring town. The Selection is the first book in the 5-part Selection series, written by Kiera Cass.
America Singer is an ordinary 16-year old girl that comes from a poor family. When she gets selected for The Selection – a reality show competition where 35 random girls are selected to compete for Prince Maxon’s heart, she is pressured into joining. It is a once-in-a-lifetime chance and many girls dream of the glitter and glamour that comes with being a princess. However, America does not want this for herself. She is in love with a boy named Aspen and cannot imagine a life like that and does not consider herself princess-worthy. As the competition goes on, she realizes that what she thought she wanted for her future might not be what she actually wants.
This novel features many characters, including: Aspen Leger – America’s boyfriend, America’s family, Maxon’s family, the selected girls, and the staff working in the palace. The main characters that we learn about in great detail are America Singer and Maxon Schreave, the prince.
This is heart-warming love story that I love reading whenever I want to snuggle up and read an old favourite. Reading about the development in America’s and Maxon’s relationship and seeing how her feelings change throughout the book is very interesting. It is an enjoyable read and I have loved this novel for many years.
The Selection is a relatively easy read that could be enjoyed by anyone from ages 12-18. Anyone who enjoys a good fiction or romance book would love this book. I recommend this novel. Imagine you lived in a world where you were punished for every imperfection you have, for all your faults and your blemishes. In this dystopian novel, we follow 17-year-old Celestine North, on her journey to prove that she is perfect. Celestine is an individual who strongly believes in logic and reason and lives an ideal, nearly flawless life. She is a model student, has good friends and a great boyfriend, who also happens to be the son of Judge Crevan, the head of the government called the Guild. For every mistake you make you have the chance of being deemed “flawed” and getting a branding on either your temple, tongue, right hand, chest or right foot, depending on the rule you break. Once branded, you are immediately looked down upon and socially unaccepted. The Guild has the power to declare if you are to be labeled “flawed” and branded or if you are truly worthy of holding the title of being perfect.
One day, Celestine faces an overwhelming situation that results in irrational actions and the possibility that she may be “flawed”. Will Celestine be able to prove her innocence? Or will she be found guilty and branded? In my opinion the storyline was very creative and unique.
The description of the book sounded quite intriguing. I just found that the beginning went too quickly, throwing all the action at us readers right away. Although every element of the novel was undoubtedly well written and detailed, I merely found the introduction captivating, the rest of the novel was unexciting. Despite the lack of interest, I had while reading, I did enjoy the message that the novel was transmitting: nobody is perfect, and we all have flaws. To summarise, firstly, I thought this novel was well written. Secondly, the beginning was the most enthralling point in the story. Lastly, the book expresses an important, positive message.Imagine you lived in a world where you were punished for every imperfection you have, for all your faults and your blemishes. Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is a multiplayer first-person shooter developed by Treyarch and published by Activision. It was released worldwide for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on October 12, 2018. It is a sequel to the 2015 game Call of Duty: Black Ops 3.
Black Ops 4 is the first Call of Duty title without a traditional single-player campaign mode. Instead, it features the Solo Missions mode, which focuses on the backstories of the game's multiplayer characters, known as "Specialists". The missions take place between Black Ops 2 and Black Ops 3. The multiplayer mode is the first in the series to not feature automatic health regeneration and a new ballistics system.
The game includes three Zombies maps, or four if you purchase a special edition version of the game, or the Black Ops Pass. The locations of the maps include the RMS Titanic, an arena in Ancient Rome, and Alcatraz Federal Penitentiary. The game also introduces a battle royale mode called Blackout, which features up to 100 players in each match. Many characters from this and other Black Ops titles can be used as the player's character in this mode.
I find this game to be entertaining and I think that the battle royale is a fun way to level up your character and earn rewards. I really enjoyed this game and depending on how much time you put into it will vary on how fast you level up and get rewards. I would recommend this game to anyone 13 and up as it is a shooter. The Cabinet of Wonders, written by Marie Rutkoski, features a young girl named Petra Kronos. Petra lives an unusual life, but a happy one. She lives in a small Czech village with her father, who is an artisan who can move metal with his mind and works with invisible tools. When her father is commissioned by the prince to build a marvelous clock, he goes off to Prague and comes back blinded. The prince has stolen his eyes. Even worse, the prince now has control of a clock that has the power to control the weather. Petra doesn’t know a lot about the world, but she knows this; she will go to Prague and somehow steal back her father’s eyes. It’s a rough task, but she won’t be alone, she has the companionship of Astrophil, her tin pet spider, and the help of Neel, a Roma boy with fingers that extend into invisible ghosts that can pick locks.
What I like about this book: pretty much everything. Petra is a wonderful character, she is spunky, determined, immensely likeable, and often entirely naïve about the way the world works. What’s wonderful about this book is that people call her on it, when she plans to do something ridiculous, like, say, sneak into the prince’s castle and steal back her father’s eyes, that doesn’t get to be something that makes sense. She’s young and sheltered, and sometimes that’s why she succeeds, even when odds are against her.
I would recommend this book to anyone 9 and up, it is an amazing steampunk magical fantasy that is hard to put down. Anyone who loves fantasy and magic would love this book, it is shorter than most for example Twilight or Harry Potter, it only has 257 pages, but it puts a whole new world of imagination in your head. The Cabinet of Wonders, written by Marie Rutkoski, features a young girl named Petra Kronos. This teen fiction novel takes place at Berkshire Academy for Children with Exceptional Needs on a small island in Massachusetts. We follow the story of Bo, a seventeen-year-old boy who has the special power of time travel. He attends this school to help develop and keep control of his powers. One day Bo brings his girlfriend, Sofia back in time and accidentally leaves her there. Despite all of his classmates, who also possess superpowers, repeatedly telling him that Sofia committed suicide, Bo continues to believe that she is truly trapped in time. Throughout the story Bo attempts to find Sofia in the timestream and to bring her back to the present time. Can he succeed and bring his girlfriend back home even with everyone doubting him?
When I was checking out the book at the library it sounded like a great read and a novel I would thoroughly enjoy. The storyline seemed intriguing and adventurous but when I started reading this book, the story did not capture my attention. Many aspects of the storyline were difficult to follow. For example, one day some government inspectors come to visit Berkshire Academy. When they arrive, things that Bo sees are changed or manipulated. That aspect of the novel deeply confused me. In this novel, the narrator switches between the main character Bo, and his sister Phoebe. I found that Phoebe's’ narration made it more difficult for readers to understand since she would counter things that Bo said. That aspect of the novel was also a confusing one. Lastly, I found that the author did not develop the secondary characters as much as she did with the protagonist, Bo. All of Bo’s classmate’s personalities were in my opinion somewhat flat which also made the story one dimensional by only focusing on the main character. In conclusion A World Without You was, in my opinion, not worth the read. I wouldn’t recommend reading this novel. This teen fiction novel takes place at Berkshire Academy for Children with Exceptional Needs on a small island in Massachusetts. I thought this movie was a great success. They were able to recreate the same uplifting vibe from the first film, in this sequel. Mamma Mia 2 is a joyful watching experience for all the family. Personally, I liked that the characters were all portrayed by the same actors as the original movie. They all did a wonderful job at showing the characters’ personalities throughout their performance onscreen. I loved that the setting was the same as the original film. Sophie was still living on the Greek island of Kalokairi. If I were able to add just one thing to the film, I would explain what happened to Donna and how she died. This aspect would complete the story because it kept me wondering throughout the entire film what had happened to her. In conclusion, Mamma Mia 2 is a great film firstly because of the happy vibe it gives off, secondly because the setting stayed the same from the last movie and lastly because of the actors’ outstanding performance. This story takes place in Flint City, a small town. A young boy, Frank Peterson was found murdered and sodomized in the local park. The police begin to investigate the crime, with Detective Ralph Peterson leading the search for the killer. Later on it is revealed that the crime scene was covered in fingerprints and DNA from the perpetrator, and confirmation of several eyewitnesses. A well-known baseball coach, Terry Maitland, is arrested in front of his friends and family. As the investigation is looking too good to be true, it is discovered that Terry has a strong alibi and proof that he was nowhere near the crime scene at the time of the attack. Detective Anderson becomes doubtful and retraces his steps. As he teams up with other detectives he finds a case almost exactly identical a few years earlier; a horrible crime involving a child and the killer possessing a solid alibi. The further Anderson dives into the details, the less plausible it seems. Is this an awful coincidence, or is there more to these crimes that meets the eye?
I really enjoyed reading this book. It was almost a mystery, as it had me curious the entire time. Stephen King incorporates the supernatural forces into this book just enough to be believable, but also adds reality. This adult fiction takes many different jarring turns throughout the whole story. Just when I thought I knew what was happening, I was surprised again. This story kept me extremely interested and I couldn’t put it down. Face/Off is a 1997 action/thriller directed by John Woo. It stars John Travolta as Sean Archer and Nicolas Cage as Castor Troy. Sean Archer is an FBI agent obsessed with capturing Castor Troy, a criminal genius responsible for killing Archer's son during a failed attempt on Archer’s life. After many years, Archer thinks the light may have appeared at the end of the tunnel when a gravely wounded Troy is captured after a bloody shootout. However, Troy has planted a time bomb, equipped with a biological payload that could wipe out the entire population of Los Angeles. Due to the shootout leaving Castor Troy in a coma the FBI’s only hope lies with Troy's brother, Pollux, the only other person who knows the bomb's location. After Pollux refuses to cooperate, the FBI decides to initiate plan B. A couple of FBI scientists have developed an experimental surgery which would allow them to temporarily graft Troy's face on Archer's head. This would allow Archer to question Pollux as if he were his own brother. However, shortly after Archer has taken Troy's face, Troy regains consciousness and forces the doctors to give him Archer's face. Now the criminal mastermind has the FBI at his disposal, and the lawman is turned into a lawless fugitive with few places to turn. Along with Woo's usual elaborately choreographed and over-the-top action scenes, Face/Off features a number of notable supporting performances, including Joan Allen as Archer's wife, Colm Feore and C.C.H. Pounder as FBI scientists, and Gina Gershon as Troy's girlfriend.
Both Nicolas Cage and John Travolta bring their all into this movie, over-acting like nobody’s business. Their performances overshadow the movie’s plot contrivances/plot holes and make Face/Off one of the craziest 90’s movies you’ll ever watch.Face/Off is a 1997 action/thriller directed by John Woo. The movie I will be reviewing is Cheaper by the Dozen, directed by Shawn Levy. The movie follows the life of the Baker family, a family of 12 children, hence the name Cheaper by the Dozen. The Baker family consists of Tom and Kate who are the parents of Nora, Charlie, Lorraine, Henry, Sarah, Jake, Mark, Jessica, Kim, Mike, Kyle and Nigel. At the beginning of the novel Tom is offered his dream job coaching football at his alma mater. Tom informs the family and they reluctantly move from Midland City, Illinois to Evanston, Illinois. From then on you see the ups and downs the family faces. From the kids’ relationships at their new schools, to Tom and Kate’s relationship with each other. Since this movie is easily one of my favourite movies of all time I would give it a perfect rating of 5/5. I enjoyed every aspect of it, from the family breakfasts to the football games as well as the fights at home or in school. At the end of the movie you really feel like you know and understand the Baker family and how much they value family over everything. I would recommend this movie to all ages, whether you are a kid and can relate to the children, a teenager who can relate to Charlie and Lorraine, or have children of your own like Tom and Kate. I would also recommend this movie to families to watch together as it is a very relatable movie. They must quiet the enraged souls of the damned, but this year the enraged souls stay enraged.

They cross once empty wastelands, now filled with reawakened monsters of legend, they travel to warn the emperor. But little did they know what terrible secret awaited them once at court that will alter their world forever.
I really enjoyed this book. It was very detailed and deep. This book gave me an insight on all the characters and I was able to pick out their personalities. One thing I wish was that the ending was a little more descriptive. The book ended very abruptly, and you would need to read the whole series to fully understand what was going on. "The Fight for Power" is a fiction book written by Eric Walters, and is the second in a trilogy, after "The Rule of Three". The book picks up right where the prior one left off, Adam and Herb circling the crumbled Burnham Bridge in the ultralight. They had successfully defended the neighborhood from the group moving in to attack. After searching through the rubble to loot the bodies, Herb proposes to the committee that they move in for a final attack on the enemy’s compound to ensure the threat be neutralized. The story continues by going through the day to day life in Eden Mills, and the struggles they're facing in order to survive, such as a lack of food and vehicles.
I feel in a few ways this book ends up being like many other second books in a trilogy, being a little too heavy on exposition, filling out the less important moments between the beginning and the end. However, there still is a healthy dose of action, which more than makes up for it. This is also probably the (thematically) darkest book in the trilogy, covering a plethora of disturbing topics in realistic ways. The story very well conveys a sense of hopelessness, sometimes dipping in a little too deep, in my opinion, making it a bit uncomfortable to read.
Similar to "The Rule of Three", the great far outweighs the bad in this book. The characters are likable and complex, especially Adam, who gets a fair bit of character development. The pacing is great, speeding up a bit between important events. And as a staple of most second installments, there's a great twist and powerful ending that leads well into the next story.
I highly recommend "The Fight for Power", as well as the whole trilogy, to anyone over twelve, because as I mentioned, there are some very disturbing moments. In conclusion, I greatly enjoyed the book, but not quite as much as the first, so I'll be giving the book a 4/5. Once again, this is just my opinion. "The Will to Survive" is a fiction book written by Eric Walters, and is the third and final book in the "Rule of Three" trilogy. The book picks up immediately after the previous, with Adam staggering out of his Cessna after killing the two men trying to take him to the compound. Brett and his men had escaped their prison and fled Eden Mills, making their way to the compound to join the Division: the ruthless military group in which the town had already fought previously. The rest of the book serves as a build-up to the climactic final battle between the two groups while developing characters and showing the growth of the town.
The book is an excellent end to an excellent trilogy. The stakes are high throughout the entire read, and there almost never seems to be a moment where nothing interesting is happening. The story is very intense, and flows very nicely. The climax is built up to perfectly, and every page seems to radiate a feeling of nervousness and anticipation. The characters, especially Adam, undergo a large amount of development and change by the end of the story. By far though, my favorite part is the ending, which are some of the most beautifully written pages I've ever read.
As for negatives, I can barely think of any. My only tiny complaints would be that some of the sections relating to the Cessna or ultralight can be a little slow. Also, I can think of a few times where a minor character’s actions are questionable. That's truly it, though.
I'd very highly recommend "The Will to Survive", and the whole trilogy, to anyone over twelve, mainly because of some disturbing moments and imagery. In my opinion, this is the best book in the trilogy. For these reasons, I'll be giving the book a 4.5/5. Thanks for reading, and hope I've helped!"The Will to Survive" is a fiction book written by Eric Walters, and is the third and final book in the "Rule of Three" trilogy. The book picks up immediately after the previous, with Adam staggering out of his Cessna after killing the two men…

"The Fourth Dimension" is a fiction book written by Eric Walters, and is a sort of spin-off of his "Rule of Three" trilogy, which I'll be using to compare to for parts of the review. The story revolves around a fifteen-year-old girl named Emma, as well as her mother and younger brother, who are just about to canoe off for a weekends camping trip on a small island when the catastrophic power outage detailed in the "Rule of Three" series strikes. They decide to head off anyways, and face their own series of unique problems as the weeks drag on.
The book is very similar to the "Rule of Three" trilogy in a lot of ways - too many, in my opinion. Emma's mother, in this case, in basically the Herb of the book, the intelligent leader that can be relied on for everything. The story structure, too, is identical. The main characters meet more and more powerful allies and eventually realize they're in over their heads, having to then build up their defenses to protect themselves from the outside world.
Here I'll be getting into some spoilers, so be warned. My biggest gripe with the book is the fact that the author decided to have the climax of the entire trilogy of the "Rule of Three", and this book, converge. This interferes greatly with the pacing. The book essentially crams three books of story into one, causing huge jumps in time and breaking some immersion.
As much as I criticize it though, "The Fourth Dimension" is still a good book. Eric Walters is a great author who envisions and describes scenarios with ease, the writing and descriptive language is great, the characters are mostly interesting and likable, and the overall atmosphere is well fitted for the story. Despite all this, though, I feel everything this book does, the "Rule of Three" series does better.
I would recommend "The Fourth Dimension" to anyone over 12. It's, overall, an enjoyable read. If you enjoy the book I would then highly recommend the "Rule of Three" series, as I think that trilogy has everything "The Fourth Dimension" does, and more. For all of these reasons, I'm giving the book a 3/5. I do try to go a little harder on books, because I find it's pretty rare you find a totally honest opinion. Playing the role of the detective, Quentin tries to put together the pieces she had left for him. In my opinion, Paper Towns is a great read with a remarkable storyline. There are numerous points throughout the novel that will keep you on the edge of your seat. I thoroughly enjoyed this particular book because firstly, the plot was straightforward and easy to follow. All the different elements of the story were intelligently thought out and detailed, but still comprehensible. Secondly, this adventurous, mystery novel also contains comedic aspects and even some romance. This book holds multiple different genres that make it more profound. Lastly, the story is different from any book I have ever read before. The characters each have their own unique personalities and certain traits that sets the story apart from any other.
I would recommend this enthralling novel to teens 13 and up since there are some points of story that would be inappropriate for children 12 and under. In brief, Paper Towns is a lovely novel because the plot was simple, there is a variety in the genre and the story is unique.A big adventure begins one night in the suburbs of Orlando, when senior Margo Roth Spiegleman appears at Quentin Jacobsen, her fellow classmate’s, window. This is a story about a girl named Catherine. She is one of the most known and loved girls in all of wonderland and her mother wants her to marry the unmarried king so she could become a queen but her interests lie elsewhere, she was a talented baker and wanted to open a shop of her own. Catherine is expecting the king to propose to her but she meets a mysterious, charming gentleman named Jest. She wishes to follow her own destiny but her fate has other plans.
This book was very good, however the ending was a cliffhanger. If you are not really interested in cliffhangers then this book might not be for you. Otherwise I find that the book was very descriptive and fun to read. If you enjoy detail and long reads then you will love this book, it made my reading experience a lot better. It is a fairly long story, so I would not recommend this for people with very little time on their hands. I really enjoyed this book and do believe that you should try reading it because you wouldn't regret it.This is a story about a girl named Catherine. The intro to main characters: Finn is a human and is also one of the main characters of the Adventure Time series. Jake is the other main character; he is a very stretchy and flexible dog.
GuildMaster is the villain of this story; he makes Finn and Jake steal from people. BMO is a robot companion of both Finn and Jake; he keeps the house tidy when they are not home.
The summary: Finn and Jake have both been busy with their own things, until they are joined back together and tasked with completing the quest of four castles by a very mysterious looking GuildMaster of Heroes. When they have 3/4 the quest finished they get into a fight. After the fight Finn carries on with the quest and Jake comes home and suddenly realizes that the GuildMaster of Heroes is really the GuildMaster of Thieves and he gets captured. Then the GuildMaster calls Finn to let him know he has kidnapped Jake. This furthers Finn even more to try and recover the fourth treasure but he gets put in jail for committing theft. BMO helps Jake escape and Jake defeats the GuildMaster. Afterwards Jake and the GuildMaster are put in a prison along with Finn. And all four treasures are returned to their rightful owners.
This book is very interesting as it almost showed all of the different Adventure Time Characters like: LSP, Ice King, Lumpy Space Princess, Princess Bubblegum as well as others you might not normally see in one book. I personally enjoyed this about the book because of the amount of characters. It was also interesting how Finn and Jake are put in a jail (being the official heroes of the candy kingdom). Also I would have liked to know what kind of “Extradimensional Horrors” Princess Bubblegum was talking about. I like how they introduced a new villain and how he got Finn and Jake to work for him. We got to see the two heroes unlawfully steal from people thinking they are claiming old artifacts and see once again that they can be quite gullible.
I liked this book and it was probably one of the better 4/5 rated books that I have read, as it was short and had a good plot. This made the book an enjoyable one. This book is for Adventure Time fans or people who are looking to become future fans as it has a unique vibe that is quite different from others. I enjoyed this book very much and therefore I recommend it.The intro to main characters: Finn is a human and is also one of the main characters of the Adventure Time series. Chapter 1: Finn, Jake, Marceline, and Princess Bubblegum are gone on a camping trip when suddenly LSP comes panicking about losing the star she normally has stuck in her head. So she asked for everyone’s alibi. I think this was a good story so I will give it a 3/5. This story satisfied me and I will definitely recommend it. I think this is a very interesting book and is more for people who like mystery genre.
Chapter 2: Finn and Jake find a portal and decide to go in and end up on the moon where they fight a space ghost and Finn finds a sword which can project lasers. On earth a creepy old lady tries performing a ritual to summon the great chef. I think this story was good as well so I will give it a 3/5. This is because we are nearing the climax. I think this is for people who wanted a new type of Finn so this is for those who like laser Finn.
Chapter 3: Everyone in Ooo forgets how to cook so they come to the candy kingdom to ask for help. Princess Bubblegum sends Finn inside of Jake to find a piece of the hamburger that allowed Jake to be the sole person to remember how to cook. I think this story is pretty good so it get a 4/5. This shows a new power Jake has of going inside himself.
Chapter 4: Finn and Jake get the piece of hamburger and show it to everyone and they remember how to cook. This story is 3/5. It is very close to the climax
Chapter 5: Finn defeats the great chef and then throws away his moon sword as it is cursed. This story is a 3/5, as Finn throws away the sword.Chapter 1: Finn, Jake, Marceline, and Princess Bubblegum are gone on a camping trip when suddenly LSP comes panicking about losing the star she normally has stuck in her head. The Sorcerer’s Apprentice is a 2010 Disney action-fantasy film, directed by Jon Turtletaub. The movie stars Jay Baruchel as Dave Stutler, the titular main character, and Nicolas Cage as Balthazar Blake, a powerful sorcerer and Merlin’s former apprentice. Set in modern-day Manhattan, the story revolves around Balthazar attempting to stop Morgana le Fay and her minions, the Morganians, from destroying the world. After Balthazar’s arch-nemesis, Maxim Horvath, played by Alfred Molina, is released from a magical urn Balthazar recruits Dave Stutler, a seemingly average student with the hidden potential to be the world’s most powerful sorcerer.
This movie is a poorly done chosen one story. The main protagonist, Dave Stutler, is a wimpy teenager with a fragile voice. His character doesn’t grow throughout the story and we, the audience, learn very little about him aside from the fact that he is a nerd. He never displays any heroic qualities and consistently botches up spells. There is no build up to Dave becoming the so-called Prime Merlinian, he goes from incompetent to all-powerful at the end of the movie like an on-off switch.
Unfortunately, Nicolas Cage does not give an over-the-top performance which is usually the most entertaining aspect of any of his movies. Thankfully, Alfred Molina offers a few enjoyable moments as Maxim Horvath. However, these moments are few and far between. In addition, the movie has a bloated structure of a three-hour-long movie despite being only about an hour and a half long. This results in the movie being a boring drag. The Sorcerer’s Apprentice is a 2010 Disney action-fantasy film, directed by Jon Turtletaub.
